Jacuzi guy says that they started the outdoor hot tubs. Sundance is the Lexus of hot tubs. I just wanted to get feedback from people who own outdoor spas and what brand do you have. Viking Hot Tubs/Spa's? My husband and I bought ours in Sept of 2005 and have had to have a jet fixed because it leaked and then the keypad went out as well. Come to find out, the key pad that was in it wasn't even the right one!! That was all under the 1 year full warranty. Now it's leaking AGAIN from a different spot and they're saying I have to pay a $60 service fee for the guy to come out, then 45% of the repair bill for parts. I'm not happy at all and not sure what to do. This is the 3rd thing that's gone wrong in 2 1/2 years. This is our first hot tub, is this normal? It's not even a "bottom of the line" tub, not top notch, but we paid around $5k and its about a 4-6 person spa. Extra jets, waterfall, lights, etc. The spa is located inside our home so it's not exposed to weather. It hasn't been ran the full time we've had it. It was ran Sept through March the first year (2005-2006) then shut down for the summer and opened again from Oct-Nov 2006 and hasn't been ran since the beginning of 2007.

It works pretty well, I was surprised, but the water temperature is a little week. Anyone think a waterbed heater might help it reach optimal temperature? The spa walls are made of a vinyl product.

Hot tub/spa: the various nozzles and hydro-jets keep coming off during use, where can I learn how to repair? these? This is a PDC spa that is only 2 1/2 years old. I manage to "reconnect" the pieces only to have them flying about with the next use. When they are reconnected, not all of them have adequate output now. I can't afford $70/visit for a different 2 or 3 apart and flying about for the repair person. (No warranty because I bought the house with the hot tub in place.) Help, it's a $7000 hot tub that just doesn't work well. ScubaBob, I would have emailed you if you had provided a way to contact you through Yahoo answers. The company that installed the pool is in trouble with the state attorney general (not from me although I have no difficulty in understanding how and why this situation has happened.) The only other authorized repair place is very difficult to deal with since they did not install the pool and I don't think their repair person is that good. Any place to view these tools online?

Why is my hot tub/spa water cloudy and has an odor? I'm assuming it has to do with the chemicals, but the other day the water in my hot tub was cloudy and had an odor to it. I check and adjust the chemicals regularly, yet the water is still not right. Any ideas as to what caused this or how to fix it? HAs anyone seen this on a hot tub spa? I have a 2005 Dynasty Spa. I recently moved it and wired it up today. After filling, it worked fine but blew a lot of dirt out of the lines. I emptied it and when I filled it back it and turned the power back on, the pump #2 is just turning on and off and can not get it to stay off. Pump #1 seems to work fine. Has anyone seen this behavior. This happens before priming.

How do you change a hot tub setting from a short pulse of the jet to a constant stream of bubbles? I have an American Spa hot tub probably from the 80's. It has two buttons on the top near the filter, a button for the light and for the jet. The jet button seems to only have one setting. If I press the button once it causes the jets to send out a short burst of bubbles for 5-10 seconds, then stops for 20 seconds, then another burst. On the electrical box down on the side of the tub there is a timer switch and nothing else. I don't see any way to adjust from short pulse to constant jet. Any advice?
