Warranty issue on Cal Spas hot tub? Has anyone had any problems in getting Cal Spas to honor their warranty? If so, what problems did you have?

Does anyone have a cal spas fiesta hot tub that is wired 220v? I have a 2001 cal spas fiesta hot tub with a G.E. Whisper control panel. It was wired 110v up until I moved a few weeks ago, now I have wiring in place to connect it to 220v although I do not have a wiring diagram to view the wiring placement. Cal Spas not honoring their warranty, given the run around is small claims the next step? Hi me and my husband purchased a spa from cal spas, and the spa is defective. It is covered by a warranty, and we have all the paper work showing that. However they are denying that, and the owner of the dealership who said it would be replaced several weeks ago has been giving us the run around, and is never there. We paid alot of money, and can't use it, because the shell has gotten warped and cracked. What can we do?

I have a 95 Cal Spa...Jets not working HELP!!? I bought a 95 Cal Spa the other day, and I had a new box to wire it up and all, but I am having some trouble and I was hoping someone could help me. There are some steps to do which include opening valves and bleeding. Well I follow all the steps, and turn the breaker on, then hit the Jets button. I get a little burst out of the jets but then nothing. I leave it on for 1 minute, but still nothing. If anybody knows about these spas, please give me any help. Thanks!

Can you please help me with repairing my Cal Spa? I am having problems with it heating.? I recently purchased a used 2003 Cal Spa, Fiesta Atlantis, 450 gallon. Everything looks great and all seems installed properly. When I first started it it was on Economy Heating Mode and heated to 80 degrees and held this temperature. I reset it to standard heat mode and the heater and heater light would not go on. I reset the breaker a couple of times and the heater and light did go on and heated to 100 degrees. I tried to increase the heat to 102 and the heater shut off. The next day the heater light would not go back on even when I would reset the breaker. It is clean and has a new filter. All the jets and the pump seem to be working well. Any advise? Please help. Thanks!

II have a 1996 cal spa and it has new board and controler,but still will not work.what information can I get n Lets see first I have no installation instructions for the new board, so I have no idea about jumpers. The motors work if I jump them and the heater do not appears it broken along with the high limit not working. I have checked pwer to the heater and it is there. no power to the light from board no power to second motor and I believe the main motor is single phasing. I have as I said an Cal Spa 3000 1996. any manufacturer info I can get would be of great help. Thanks

There used to be a faux rock waterfall spa that a truck would come and deliver..? In other words, it was all one unit, built in the factory and then delivered...I think the company was Cal-Spas...now out of business...does anyone know of any companies that sell this?

My hot tub shuts off (trips the GFI breaker) if I hit the "jets" button two times too quickly. Any idea why? We recently bought a used Cal Spas hot tub with limited documentation, none of which addresses this possible scenario. By default, the spa runs the pump for four hours after I first turn it on. Two times now I have gotten too anxious and have played with the jets or light during that four hour period. Usually that doesn't create a problem but both times I accidentally turned the jets one when I meant to hit lights. I rapidly hit the jets button a second time to shut off the jets. Both times that has caused the GFI breaker to trip. In each case, it takes about 12 hours before I can turn the breaker back on and restart the hot tub. Any thoughts?

Need a recipe for balsamic chicken? This local deli used to make it. It is not a low-cal or spa type balsamic recipe. I have tons of those. The chicken was usually legs and thighs and somewhat breaded and stewed with mushrooms and onions in a kind of thick tan gravy. As a self-styled foodie, I can tell the thickener was not the usual corn starch or flour, but probably breadcrumbs, and the balsamic was more of a flavoring, but not as a reduction or the base for the sauce. Relocation to Nor Cal- suggestions? I'm a single young professional relocating to Nor Cal for a promotion. I tend to lean toward suburban living within 10 minutes of city life, trendy restaurants, urban bars/clubs, and spas. Does anyone know how to best remove ash from the bottom of a spa? My pool has ash all over the bottom after all the fires in So.Cal. The automatic pool cleaner is picking most of it up in the pool, but it doesn't clean the spa. Should I drain the spa, or is there some way to clean the water?

How do I bleed my spa after servicing the filters? I have Cal Spa with one filter near the pump and another full size filter near the skimmer. The filter near the skimmer is above the water line. I'm not sure how to get the air out of this top one. When I run the filter the filter chamber has suction so it just draws more air when I open the bleed valve. If I open the chamber and just try to fill it with hose water the water drains down into the skimmer. I called Cal Spas and (despite what their ads say) they don't support spas before 2000. Mine is a 1990 PS-3 8'x8'. When I run the jets I hear the pump occasionally starve for air and the jets go down.

Hot tub pump not pumping water or heating? I have a 1994 Cal Spa 8 foot Lounger. Recently the jets stopped working and it stopped heating. The pump and the heater are one component. I am assuming since the pump is not circulating the water it can't heat and circulate the water either. The pump/heater are running, I checked the fan inside the pump and that is working too. Any thoughts on why it is not pumping the water through? If something is clogged how do I unclog it? Thanks, The blower is seperate from the pump/heater. They operate from two different controls too. The blower is working perfect. If that piece you mentioned is broken what am I looking at for cost? The pump/heater is only 1 year old. The main pump is what is running, just not circulating any water

On low there's little jetting, mostly its there for circulation. On high, its the full hot tub massage relaxing bubbling experience. So ever since I got this thing, when I turn it on high, after about 1/2hr it turns itself down to low. I have to get up and turn it back to high. Its computer controlled by a relay box marked 'whisper power unit'. I want to modify things so it will stay on high until I turn it off. Any suggestions on rewiring the circuit board or reprogramming the computer? Also, to the people who are about to say 'its designed to do that, don't modify it!', 'it'll burn out the motor, don't do it!', and other silly comments, please keep it to yourself, you're wrong.

what will happen?? yesterday i had a pig out day? im in a 1000 diet for over a month now .. 2 weeks ago i decided to add exercise .. and i exercise everyday burning about 350-550 cal/ day in the treadmill and i feel very healthy and active .... ,, then i hit the gym for a day doing cardio and some streching i didnt felt that tired and my body is aching but not so much ... then the next day im at the hydro spa,, it made my body ache like what u feel when suddenly u lift weighs when u normally dont and i pig out... what will happen..? anyway i decided ill continue may 1000 cal diet will i gain weight..?? after that or no prgress or everthing that i ate will turn into fat..???? helppp meee

I REALLY DESIRE going to either of these two Ivy-League Schools, preferably Cornell since they have an extensive physics program. 20% gratuity rule...was it still applicable? I went to a spa recently. I was disapponted with the service and their treatment. I had asked for a specific person to do my facial...as she was very busy...i had ot wait 2 weeks to get hold of her...then i got a cal saying that the appointment would have to be moved 1 week ahead..to which i was like ok.....now i go for my appointment...n then they tell me soemthing came up so the lady for who i waited 3 weeks...will not be able to do the facial but someoen else will. No i was already at the spa...after driving for 45 mins....I did say anythign n went ahead saying that let just hope the facial is worth it...the facial was descent but as soon as i got out of the room...i had questions abt skin products n stuff but she didnt have the time as she was immediately busy with the other client who came in. Now at their website they said that they woudl add a 20 % gratuitty.....n now i feel it was just so not worth it. Should I have sadi something?...how can peoepl ripp you off liek that?

How do you hook up a hot tub? I have a Cal Spa that is one year old, given to me by a family member. It is a 220 volt direct hook up (no plug like a dryer). I went to Lowe's and got a 220 breaker with GFI attached, enough wire 220 wire, and poly conduit for the outside wiring. I understand that the wiring needs to run from my electrical panel, to the break/GFI, to the tub. But I have never messed around behind my panel and am not sure what to do. I know I need to cut the electric to my house prior. I have had two electricians quote over $1000 to wire it, I only paid $200 for the parts. Do I need to test voltage prior? Any chance of over loading the electrical box causing fire? Just and update for you four losers that wasted your time not answering my question with your babble. No, I'm not going to hire an electrician, out of the question. Don't give a rats arse how long you've been in the business. Get back to work and stop wasting people time in the DIY section. OH, that's right, you don't get paid when I DIY, get used to it. No, it's not brain surgery, which is a science, electrical work is a trade and can be expalined in detail, try it instead of making BS anagolies.
