tips for taking care of my mixed daughters hair? ohhh it is a nightmare...she has the curls of her black heritage, the thickness and ability to grow of mine (I am white with EXTREMELY thick hair that grows almost an inch a month) and texture of just in between, so relaxers are OUT of the question. She is 4. Everyday I use Motions Hair Lotion to condition her scalp and hair and use it to style the hair. Twice a week we wash using Just For Me Shampoo and then condition with a heavy conditioner. To brush her hair I use Loreal Detangler, and use Silken Child Deep Moustuirzing Hair Lotion to set and style and condition even further. I have moustierization covered...her hair is only dry at night....I used to plat her hair 3 days out of the week and it seemed to manage the extreme tanlging, but last month she cut one of her braids off, so braiding it OUT of the question. I am always looking for hair care tips.....so give me any adice you can. If I cut her hair Really short she WOULD CRY CRY CRY CRY...I can not do that to her. I am treating her hair the way it needs to be treated. straightning her hair lasts for MAYBE a day. and we do the puffy pony tail most of the time.

I'm mixed (my mother's black, and my father is korean), and I pretty much have typical black hair. I get it relaxed occasionally, (like, rarely.) and the relaxers rarely work (my hair is always curly after the relaxer), so I always flatiron my hair every morning before school to make my bangs straight, which is totally killing my hair. So, does anyone have any tips on what products I should use to offset this? I'm trying to grow my hair long, and right now... It's about 7 inches long at the top, the bottom layers are short. I'm trying to grow atleast 10 more, and my hair grows ridiculously fast (that's about a year of growth, plus occasional haircuts. But, like, my dead ends are just so frequent, I'm like, permanently stuck at my hair only growing an inch at a time, and my hair is constantly breaking off, etc. I generally wear my hair in pigtails, but use rubberbands. Should I just stop flatironing my hair until I get the desired length, or is there any alternative hairstyles I can seek to prevent damage (I really don't like my natural curly hair. I am a 15 year old African American girl in need of hair styles and hair care tips.? My hair is dark...like black. It is kinda short about an inch or 2 above shoulder length. I have an oval face and a toffee/dark carmel complextion. My hair is also not in the best condition but I am working on that with the help of an excellent beautician. Also my hair was cut back in the beginning of September and it is not growing back at the speed it used to how can I get my hair to grow back and be healthy.
