Dry Sister

is scissor sisters music yankeepop?

we in britain have brit pop, music that has influences from sixties bands such as the beatles, kinks, small faces, am thinking bands like oasis and blur. so, seeing as scissor sisters clearly have strong elements of bee gees, elton john, prince and david bowie, could scissor sisters be described as yankeepop, even though as the bee gees and sir elton and bowie are english but enjoy success in america? or are the sisters infact britpop? either way, i love scissor sisters, but that is arlready an established fact, lol.
