How do I keep my sisters from taking my stuff without putting a lock on the door?

Everytime I leave the house my sisters take my makeup, clothes, ear rings, hair straightner, movies.. the list goes on and on. I usually have to go into their rooms about once a week and collect things they have taken. They don't listen to me when I tell them to stop and my parents don't care, so how do I get them to stop without having to put a lock on my door?

1. No way ...As long as they have access they will keep doing it since your parents don't care..you could try taking all their stuff but they would just come get it once you leave.,..Put the lock on the door..It's actually easier if you just replace the doorknob with one that needs a key to get in..just be sure you leave one key hidden somewhere around the house or outside in case you lock it without your key on you..be sure you hide it and retrieve it in private..If you have the money they make some that are key-less entry but they are not cheap..Good Luck..Been there done that..I put a new doorknob on mine!
2. i tell them that there is a secret camera hidden in my room(i can tell if somethings missing lol)and i put everything in drawers and i vacuum my room(so if theres footprints)and if they take something ill know adn if they go w/o taking stuff ill take em shoppin or to a movie or something, but if they do i rough em up a little
3. hide your stuff that's what i do to my little brothers
4. every time they take something of yours take something of theirs that they really cant do without - and tell them they can have it back in 24 hours as punishment for taking your stuff without asking... everytime they take something without asking, you take something else of theirs and hide it but this time its 48 hours... then next time 72 etc... pretty soon they will learn - or your parents will start to care cuz they will have to ask what is going on - cuz no doubt there will be some arguments lol
5. Boy, does this bring back memories! I couldn't put a lock on my door, because I shared my room with one of my sisters, so I got a cabinet that locked, and put all my makeup, hairspray, CD's, jewelry, anything they'd take without asking. It REALLY worked! And, sad to say, I also had to do this for awhile when I went away to college as my roommates were the same way!
6. tell her you are securing your door and why.If she like it or not. or secure you closet with the items you don't want here to touch. most of all set down and tell her before she get anything ask first if want to it ugly get something that yes love without asking.
7. Since you haven't got parental backup, the best thing to do is put anything you don't want your sisters to take in a lockable trunk. An alternative is to take anything you don't want them to use and keep it at a friend's house. Boobytrap things like hair care products by putting bluing into them... bluing is a cheap very strong blue dye found in the laundry soap aisle in the grocery store. It's used to make clothes whiter in the wash, but used in very tiny amounts. Added to hair care products.... it'll turn their skin and hair blue and won't wash off for a couple days. You and your folks will have proof they've been stealing your stuff. I had to do this with my sisters too, and it really worked. Now, I have four sons who sometimes "forget" things belong to their brothers. We've taught them to marker a line at the level they last used whatever it is and write their name on the bottle. Fortunately they don't fit each other's clothes.
